We’re Recruiting: Charity Trustee Vacancies
Want to end stigma around mental health?
Think mental health support should be easier to access?
Looking for a fulfilling voluntary Board-level role?
Chasing The Stigma is a national mental health charity with a difference. Founded and run by people with lived experience, we act as the everyday voice of managing mental health.
We work to remove the stigma around mental health and make it as easy as possible to access a wide variety of support services by developing simple, effective solutions such as the Hub of Hope app, which is now the nation’s ‘go to’ mental health signposting tool, connecting tens of thousands of people to more than 3,500 support groups and services every month.
We are looking to appoint two new trustees to join us on the next stage of our journey to strengthen our governance and to help deliver our ambitious objectives. This will be an important and exciting time to join our Board of Trustees, as our charity celebrates five years in operation, continues to experience rapid growth and launches a series of strategic partnerships with commercial and public sector organisations.
We want to diversify our Board to reflect the work and communities we support, to broaden our thinking and ensure that our decision making is informed and enriched by a wide field of experience. This means we would particularly welcome applicants from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people, members of the LGBT+ community and younger people aged 18 – 30 (so younger than our current board members).
All applications will be considered, but we are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas: finance, human resources (HR) and medical/clinical background in mental health.
